Over 71.000 fans watched the first Ice Hockey game at Gazprom Arena equipped with Colosseo largest LED displays

December 18, 2018 - St. Petersburg, Russia

The first ever Ice hockey game took place last night at Gazprom Arena (formerly Zenit Arena), which was equipped with the world’s largest football stadium LED displays by Colosseo only two years ago.

This football stadium with retractable roof and roll-out field was converted for the first time into an ice rink for the special “Hockey Classic” event, where team Russia defeated team Finland 5-0 last night and became the winner of the 2018 Channel One Cup.

The Hockey Classic was the second most prominent sporting event at Gazprom Arena this year, right after the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Colosseo is proud that its LED display technology has increased the overall fan experience and allowed visitors to see highlights, goal replays and other relevant game information in crisp detail, even from a significant distance.
