VTB Ice Palace – a true winner during the 2016 IIHF World Championship in Ice Hockey in Russia
May 24, 2016 - Moscow, Russia
Over two hundred thousand fans from various countries visited the VTB Ice Palace during the recently completed 2016 IIHF World Championship in Ice Hockey.
Last year Colosseo equipped the venue with a comprehensive technology inventory which put the arena among the most technologically advanced sports venues in the world.
National team fans enjoyed the game entertainment, instant replays, game highlights, and scores and player statistics on the brand new Colosseo 360° center-hung HD video cube which features a 6 mm pixel pitch with an incredibly sharp image. The media content was created and managed by the Colosseo Single Media Platform which worked seamlessly throughout the entire event and lifted game presentation to a new level.
Media content was also supplied to Colosseo LED ribbons surrounding the whole stadium and the IPTV network in VIP lounges. Fans were provided with high level infotainment all around and no one missed a beat.
Additionally, IIHF certified referees were provided with analysed outputs from Colosseo Video Goal Judge which played a very important role during the whole event and solved many disputed situations.
The IIHF World Championship in Russia was another worldwide event at venues with Colosseo technology and we are looking forward to the future where Colosseo will continue to be a part of high level worldwide events!
