Ball Hockey World Championship in Slovakia for the first time

At the championship there will be both male and female ball hockey players from 20 countries such as Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Finland, USA, Canada, Pakistan and many others.

The players are divided into two groups of 12 teams each. All the teams will play each other and the main group is followed by the playoff stage (eight-finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals) with the single-elimination system. You will have a chance to see 76 matches overall!

The event will last until Sunday 26 June and will be accompanied by various activities:

  • national round of the Street Hockey School League (age group: from 01 January 1995 to 31 December 1998, date: 20-21 June 2011)
  • two matches of the winner of the Slovak national round of the Street Hockey School League with the Czech counterpart  (age group: from 01 January 1995 to 31 December 1998, date: 22 June 2011)
  • two matches from the Czech Republic (age group: up to age 14, date:  22-23 June 2011)
  • two matches from the Czech Republic (age group: up to age 16, date:  22-23 June 2011)
  • two matches from the Czech Republic (age group: up to age 18, date:  22-23 June 2011)

 

Ball hockey & Colosseo


Ball hockey is on of the sports supported within the Colosseo EAS portfolio of sport disciplines. The Colosseo systems will operate at full stretch during the championship. Besides standard modules (video cube, video referee, LCD screens etc.) known already from the Ice Hockey Championship, minitimers will be used for the first time and participants will also play a match in a training hall equipped with Colosseo components.
