Discussion panel members have agreed - IP is the King!
February 16, 2015 - Amsterdam, Netherlands
Colosseo was part of a discussion panel about AV/IT convergence at the Sport Facility Integration Summit presented by SVG Europe and held during the 2015 ISE Convention at the RAI Exhibition Centre on February 12. The topic was The Great Convergence of AV, IT and the New Network World.
Representatives from Cisco and ALC NetworX joined Colossseo Sales Director Lenka Kunecova in discussing how IP and WiFi are changing the fan experience and what the future holds. Everyone agreed that current tech pinnacles are always temporary and venues must continue to evolve by implementing the most advanced and efficient technology available.
Our representative Lenka Kunecova pointed out that the whole Colosseo system has been IP based from inception, with the intent to free sports venues from the limited broadcasting based approach. It is imperative that venues make the correct technology decisions moving forward as the gap between the new IP approach and old broadcasting approach continues to widen.
The capability to seamlessly and efficiently distribute data and provide fans with an interactive and custom information rich experience will be the key to growing a sports team’s fan base and stable attendance numbers for venues of the future. From custom instant replays through mobile apps to real time statistics and IPTV, Colosseo continues to innovate and demonstrate that IP is king!
