Al Janoub Arena — Bringing Basketball to a World-Class Stadium
As Qatar prepares to host the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, the country’s iconic Al Janoub Stadium is being transformed into a basketball arena with a capacity of 10,000 spectators. This unique concept will create a fully equipped basketball venue inside the existing stadium structure.
For this project, ColosseoEAS has delivered a complete audiovisual and game presentation solution that meets FIBA requirements. The installation includes an LED Video Cube with a Bottom Display Surface, LED scoreboards, LED perimeter displays and a special FIBA-Certified Basketball ShotClock, helping to create an engaging experience for both spectators and event operators.
The venue will also utilize Colosseo’s FIBA-certified Timing and Scoring system, a compact and easy-to-use solution fully integrated with the Colosseo Single Media Platform. Designed specifically for sports venues, the system combines game operations, scoring, statistics, and multimedia presentation within a single environment.
