Brand new baseball stadium powered by Colosseo technology opens in Nicaragua

More than 4,000 spectators came to enjoy the emotions of the game, enhanced by Colosseo's state-of-the-art multimedia technologies.

At the end of 2023, the gates of a new modern baseball stadium named after legendary Puerto Rican professional baseball player Roberto Enrique Clemente Walker opened in Masaya, Nicaragua. It hosted the opening game of the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup Americas qualifier between Puerto Rico and the home team of Nicaragua.

More than 4,000 spectators came to enjoy the emotions of the game, enhanced by Colosseo’s state-of-the-art multimedia technologies. Whether it was the informative score service, the beautiful animations and the replays of key moments of the match, which were captured, processed and published via the Colosseo Single Media Platform on the Colosseo Vision LED display.

Or it was the perfect sound provided by the installed Colosseo solution, consisting of sixty-eight powerful loudspeakers, a high-end digital audio mixing solution, and the sound & music workstation equipped with the Colosseo SoundBoard system.

The spectator visual experience was also enhanced by the Colosseo Vision LED ribbon located between the first and second levels of the stadium’s main tribune.

Interesting fact is that Colosseo has also ensured the precise measurement of the baseballs speed. Spectators can see this data in real time on a scoreboard displayed on a large-scale LED display during the games.

Colosseo technologies used during Miss Universe 2023 in San Salvador

At the end of 2023, the Miss Universe pageant was held in a modernized sports arena in San Salvador, equipped with Colosseo technology.

Gimnasio National José Adolfo Pineda is one of the major sports venues in the capital city of El Salvador, which has undergone a complete renovation for the 24th Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023. This renovation included a broad upgrade of the venue’s infrastructure.

Colosseo played a significant role in supplying modern technology for this arena and for the other ten sports venues in San Salvador. This extensive delivery included custom-designed LED displays, scoreboards, LED ribbons and perimeters, sports timing & scoring solutions, audio digital mixing solutions, indoor stadium speaker systems and world-unique multimedia control software developed by Colosseo.

Some of these technologies, despite their primary purpose for sporting events, were also used during the Miss Universe finale, adding to the exceptional atmosphere of the gala evening.

A brand new modern seamless 360-degree centerhung LED video cube was revealed during the UFC Night Fight in Accor Arena, Paris.

The Accor Arena in Paris had a big premiere over the weekend. A brand new modern seamless 360-degree centerhung LED video cube was revealed during the UFC Night Fight match Ciryl Gane vs Sergey Spivak.

The cube has a modern, simple, clean design, becoming a new, attractive arena part. It brings a unique fan experience to this modern Paris temple of sports. But the modern design is not the only thing that makes the cube interesting.

While the corners are made from classic Colosseo VISION LED panels, the main screens are made from unique, custom-designed perforated LED panels with high acoustics permeability. The main reason is that the cube hides the massive arena sound system.

Another special functionality of the cube is its modularity. Its construction enables the detachment of main screens and their use to assemble separate large-scale LED display for an event. The uniqueness of the whole installation is underlined by the use of the integrated media solution for managing, processing, and publishing multimedia content – Colosseo Single Media Platform.

In 2024, Accor Arena will be one of the sports venues participating in the Summer Olympic Games.

Colosseo technology is used widely on ten venues hosting the XXVI Central American and Caribbean Games 2023 in San Salvador.

Major construction and reconstruction of sports venues and related infrastructure occur before the games. Colosseo played a significant role in equipping sports venues with modern technologies, including LED display visual solutions, integrated media control, public announcement and audio systems, timing&scoring and ticketing. A wide range of sports includes football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, water polo, baseball, softball, gymnastics, athletics, track cycling, speed skating, tennis, table tennis, and karate.

Colosseo delivered turnkey solutions for all venues, including design and engineering, manufacturing of the systems, assembly, installation, support, training, and operation of the events.

“National Institute of Sports of El Salvador (INDES) selected ColosseoEAS in the international bidding process as the company with many years of experience supplying and implementing technologies at sports venues globally and for major international sports events. We were able to make full use of this experience for this large-scale delivery”, said Jan Jenca, CEO of the company.

Slovak "Winter Classic" named Kaufland Winter Games 2023 with significant success also thanks to participation of Colosseo

At the beginning of 2023, an exceptional sport event called the Kaufland Winter Games 2023 took place in Bratislava at the National Football Stadium. This event, which cannot be called anything other than a dignified celebration of ice hockey, has been attracting massive attention and viewership for years in the NHL, where it has a long-standing tradition. It was no different, even at the football stadium at Tehelne Pole in Bratislava, where this event was held for the first time.

These days, European basketball teams are fighting in their groups to qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 final tournament. The Qualifiers run from November 2021 to February 2023, and one of the national teams participating in this qualification part is the national team of Turkey.

At the recently concluded 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Latvia, ColosseoEAS also had its own representation, which public media noticed.

At Arena Riga, the company also had staffing represented by a technician-specialist – Adam Adamek, who provided on-site support: “We are primarily a software company.
