Hockeycomplex ‘s-Hertogenbosch

About the Project

Colosseo continues to strengthen its position on the European market and is very proud to announce its first field hockey installation which is also the first in the Netherlands – the cradle of field hockey.

Hockeycomplex ‘s-Hertogenbosch – a huge field hockey venue which consists of 8 playing fields and is also the home venue for over 120 teams and clubs, recently underwent a massive modernization process of which Colosseo was a part of in collaboration with its local partner – GP Systems in the Netherlands.

Colosseo equipped the venue with a unique, custom-designed and rotating giant LED screen placed on a specially designed robotic pillar. The screen can be repositioned from a central location to serve 3 different fields, accommodating the field where the actual match is played. The screen dimensions of 7,6m x 3,8m together with the latest 10 mm SMD pixel pitch outdoor technology and automatic brightness regulation sensor enables visitors to enjoy superior picture quality under any weather conditions.

All media is under control of the Single Media Platform (SMP), the all-in-one solution that has been proven for years and become an indispensable part of all major installations. Not only does SMP handle all media inputs, advertisement, instant replays and graphical content, it is also closely integrated with all data from TIMER consoles that handle timekeeping, scoring and statistics, which enables absolute control over the entire operation.
